Just 3:40 into the first period, Andreas Johnsson chipped the puck from near the Sharks’ goal line all the way in the offensive zone. Alexander Barabanov got to it and moved it from his backhand, through the defender’s legs, to his forehand towards the slot and wristed a shot by the right post and put the Sharks up on a 1-0 lead.
