STORY: Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Wednesday (January 09) that the West does not possess a monopoly over all significant development work taking place in the world anymore, unlike until the last century.
Zarif added that it has been even more convenient for the West to blame other countries particularly the Muslims for problems arriving on its shores as it was the easiest diversion but the situation was far too serious to indulge in the blame game. Zarif was speaking at the 4th Raisina Dialogue conference in New Delhi.
He also stressed the need for all the counties in Iran’s neighbourhood to abandon the destructive illusions that security could be bought or achieved at the expense of insecurity of others.
Zarif who is on a three-day visit to India also met his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj earlier in the day where important bilateral issues were discussed and perspectives on the regional situation were shared.
