STORY: First Lady of Republic of Korea, Kim Jung-sook met Indian Prime minister, Narendra Modi, and Foreign Minister, Sushma Swaraj in New Delhi on Monday (October 05).
“EAM @SushmaSwaraj calls on the First Lady of the Republic of Korea, Mrs Kim Jung-sook. India and ROK share a special strategic partnership since 2015 and our relations have deepened and diversified in recent years”, tweeted Spokesperson of Indian Foreign ministry, Raveesh Kumar.
Kim who is on a four-day visit to India, also interacted with school children.
Kim is scheduled to visit northern temple town of Ayodhya on Tuesday (November 06), to participate in the celebrations of Hindu festival of light, Diwali. She will also lay down the foundation stone of a memorial for legendary Korean queen, Heo Hwang-ok or Princess Suriratna, who, the legend says, was the princess of Ayodhya.
