STORY: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (October 08) flagged off an unreserved express train from his home state of Gujarat.

The Antyodaya Express is a fully unreserved train in which passengers can get the ticket even at the last minute.

The train is a commendable initiative and people can travel at any point of time without any prior reservation, Modi told the gathering at an event.

During the event, Modi also laid the foundation stone of Bhadbhut barrage, which is aimed at stopping the ingression of saline sea water into River Narmada and bettering its ecology.

Modi is on a two-day visit to his home state Gujarat. His visit comes in the wake of the state elections which goes to poll in November.
