Just eight minutes in the first period, Ryan Suter unloaded a slap shot from the blue line that found it’s way to the net through some screen. Six minutes later Noah Gregor took a shot from the top of the right circle that was deflected in the net by Noah Gregor.

Wild scored two more goals in the second period. Ryan Suter took a shot from top of the right circle, that bounced off of stick of Zach Parise on to the tape of Alex Galchenyuk who was wide open on top of the crease for an easy tap in goal. With five minutes left in the second period, Luke Kunin threaded the needle from the right circle on to the stick of Parise for an easy goal.

Half way through the third period, Joe Thornton scored on a rebound from Marcus Sorensen’s shot. Sharks had plenty of shots after that but Wild lowered the defensive boom on the Sharks and won with a narrow one goal lead.
