Indian foreign minister meets Russian leaders in Moscow

STORY: Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Yuryi Borisov met Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj in Moscow on Friday( September 14) to boost bilateral ties.

Swaraj is on a two-day visit to Russia to hold the 23rd meeting of the Inter- Governmental Commission on Technical & Economic Cooperation.

“Meeting begins to expand our relationship across all sectors & identify new opportunities! EAM @SushmaSwaraj & Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov chairing the India-Russia Inter Governmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological & Cultural Cooperation”, said Spokesperson of Indian Foreign Ministry, Raveesh Kumar in a tweet.

A day earlier, Swaraj also met her Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov where the two leaders exchanged views on bilateral and regional issues.

Swaraj’s visit to Russia comes days after she hosted U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in New Delhi.
