STORY: A car rally commemorating seven decades of friendly relations between India and Russia reached India’s western Rajkot city on Thursday (March 08).
The car rally was flagged off from India’s eastern Bhilai city on February 20 and will see the 29 participants traverse through India, Iran and Azerbaijan before reaching Moscow in mid-May. The car rally also seeks to promote the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), which will connect India with Russia and Europe via Iran.
We feel honoured to be a part of this historical event, said a Russian participant Elena Hendricks.
India and Russia share friendly relations and several institutionalized dialogue mechanisms operate at both political and official levels to ensure regular interaction and follow up on cooperation activities.
