STORY: New Delhi on Thursday (November 30) got a sneak peek of the world famous wax museum Madame Tussauds, which will have wax figures of some of India’s and Hollywood’s most important names.
The Delhi branch, located above the historical Regal Cinema in the heart of the city, will open its doors to public on Friday (December 01).
India will become the 23rd country to have the iconic museum and will house wax statues of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Hollywood actors Leonardo Di Caprio and Angelina Jolie
The museum will be divided into five sections – music, sports, film celebrities, history and leaders. Sixty percent wax figures at the museum are of Indians and the rest are of global figures.
Madame Tussauds was founded in the year 1835 by Marie Tussauds in London. From early works of Marie, Madame Tussauds created an international phenomenon that still remains a famous attraction for millions.
