STORY: Pakistan cricketer Imam-ul-Haq on Saturday (September 13) said their arch-rivals India would still be strong in the upcoming Asia Cup even without regular skipper Virat Kohli.
Imam made the comments after his team hit the ground running in Dubai.
He said Pakistan would turn up in the Asia Cup with an aggressive style of play. Pakistan will play neighbours India on September 19.
Kohli has been rested for the Asia Cup starting on Sept. 15, with fellow batsman Rohit Sharma set to lead the defending champions in the 50-over tournament in the United Arab Emirates.
Imam said Asia Cup would give a good platform for Pakistan and the other teams to participate for next year’s World Cup.
Pakistan will face Hong Kong in their first match of the tournament on September 16.
