STORY: Australian fast bowler Jason Behrendorff on Thursday (October 05) said he was raring to make his debut against India during the three-match T20 series.
Behrendorff was speaking to reporters ahead of the team’s practice session in eastern Ranchi city.
A good performance from the left-arm quick in India can earn him a call up for the upcoming Ashes series after fellow fast bowler James Pattinson was ruled out owing to his lower-back injury.
Behrendorff said the Australians had recuperated well after their series loss against the host and were eager to make amends in the shortest format of the game.
The injury-prone bowler from Canberra enjoyed an interrupted pre-season of first-class cricket, taking 123 wickets in 29 matches.
The three-match T20 series between India and Australia will begin on Saturday (October 07) in the city of Ranchi, followed by a game in Guwahati on Tuesday (October 10) and in Hyderabad on Friday (October 13).
