STORY: Australian bowler Nathan Lyon on Thursday (March 07) said the visitors have a chance to make a comeback in the five-match series against India despite losing the first two encounters.
“We believe that we can still come and win this series,” said Lyon while addressing a news conference in eastern Ranchi city.
Lyon, who has been bowling in tandem with leg spinner Adam Zampa in India, hoped to be a part of squad that travels to England for the World Cup.
Lyon, 31, is Australia’s undisputed first-choice test spinner, having played 84 matches and taken 339 wickets since his debut against Sri Lanka in 2011.
However, he has struggled to have the same impact in limited overs cricket and played just over 15 ODIs.
After the Ranchi ODI, the remaining two matches would be played in northern Mohali city and Indian capital New Delhi.
