Indian Women have taken on different roles before and after Independence and have excelled in diverse fields. Women have achieved success in the face of adversity and difficulties with their enduring strength, courage, initiative and determination.
Adding glitz and glamour to the event on Monday (March 03) in Mumbai, Kapoor told mediapersons that the awards were a way to celebrate womanhood and honour the unsung heroes from all walks of life.
“I am extremely proud to be associated with L’oreal Paris Femina Women awards. I think every woman that has been nominated has done something to kind of change society in some way and is a pillar of Indian society. Everyone who is nominated has done something that changes the way we look at what we as young people can do for India,” said she.
She added that recognition of such a kind will boost the confidence of winners as well as inspire other women to get involved in something that is for the betterment of the society.
“I also hope that there are more and more people who will vote for these women because the more support they have and the more recognition they get, it will just help their cause and help in whatever little way that we can so I always say that every one person makes a difference,” added she.
The awards ceremony will be held on March 27 in Mumbai.
Felicitating women, recognizing their efforts and to bring forth their success stories is important so that such persons become role models for the future generations. Recognitions go a long way in moulding societal mindsets to accept and encourage the versatile roles of women in the Indian society.
